Underwriters Laboratories To Launch Cyber Security Certification Program

The ubiquitous and yet mysterious Underwriters Laboratories is getting into the cyber security certification process.  I am very intrigued by this approach on the part of the US government.  It speaks to an almost lowest common denominator approach to cyber security and controls development.  I do believe it is an important step forward.
