BYOD should not be taken lightly. I will grant you it seems like a no-brainer. The company saves money. The employee is thrilled to get to use their shinny new personal device. Everyone seems to win…at least until that device is lost or stolen….or at least until that device connects to the corporate network with malware in tow. At the end of the day, corporations are still responsible for their data and their networks. That responsibility doesn’t stop just because someone else owns the end device.
