Microsoft has decided to take yet another decision out of the hands of its users. Now, we are no longer allowed to decide which updates are relevant for us as users of the Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems. Patch all or each none is the new dictate from Redmond. I would make a plea for the transition to another, more flexible and less dictatorial OS, but unfortunately many businesses are forced to continue to run Windows due to software vendor requirements.
