BlackEnergy Malware Caused Ukrainian Power Outage, Confirms Researchers

This article discusses what is purported to be the first confirmed blackout caused by a dedicated malware attack.  This is a real world scenario that brings more fear than most.  I must admit I am a bit surprised that it was so successful, but it speaks to the need for better security and more robust air gapping for SCADA platforms.
