BASIC turns 53 – find out just how cool that is!

For many of us, BASIC was our first exposure to a programming language.  I can remember being that kid that walked into the electronics section of the local strip mall department store and added a few lines of code in BASIC to the Commodore64 demo unit sitting on the shelf, and then stepped back to marvel at my constantly scrolling message running on the screen.

Accessibility to tools and technology and technology languages has become a fundamental need.  Languages like BASIC were a part of the foundation that is our modern world.  Let’s celebrate that fact today and encourage our children and their friends to embrace new technology opportunities and learn the skills that will make them successful moving forward.
