For everyone who is hesitant to move forward with the iOS9 upgrade, here is some security food for thought. I believe the patching alone makes the upgrade worthwhile.

This story has been bouncing around the security community for several days now and deserves a little attention. I fully understand that by accepting automatic updates, you are granting Microsoft certain privileges, but one of those privileges should not be interpreted as the right to download a 6GB payload in the hopes that you upgrade to their newest OS. Such a download can adversely affect individuals running small disk partitions for test reasons or otherwise. Microsoft should take the lesson taught to me by my mother all those many years ago…”Ask politely before you do something!”
This is yet another example of a health provider related breach and further strengthens the argument that health records are very high value targets. The width and breath of this particular breach is quite stunning.
